Welcome to Katha Munch

Innovating Indian Theatre.
Inspiring the Next Generation.

South Asian Theater in Silicon Valley Exhibition

Katha Munch has been showcased as one of the few South Asian theater groups featured as part of the “South Asians in Silicon Valley” initiative by San José State University’s King Library. The initiative includes both a physical exhibit and a digital exhibit, which features selected pieces of media and information from the many artifacts and documentation we shared as part of this archival effort.

KM SOCIAL

As a small step toward building a community space together, Katha Munch hosted our very first KM Social—an intimate, informal gathering to reconnect, play, and explore.

We Entertain

Our stage comes alive with musicals and plays that blend comedy, romance, meaning, and music. From grand productions rooted in history and Indian epics to slice-of-life stories that reveal the heart of everyday India — we create theatre that’s vibrant, contemporary, and deeply human

We Reconnect

We bring India’s rich cultural heritage to today’s audiences through innovative storytelling. Our shows intertwine dance, live music, and folk art forms, reflecting on our lineage, values, and faiths — not as distant traditions, but as context and inspiration for modern life.

We Inspire

A new generation is discovering that identity can be cool.Through KM Teens, young creators are emerging as the next wave of storytellers, blending art, technology, and culture to shape the future of Indian theatre in the Bay Area.
